Earthquakes and Fires - Your Homes Worst Enemy

  Fires from broken gas lines account for over 85% of all damage caused during Earthquakes.  Here are a couple tips on how to keep your home and family safe.

Earthquake Safety Valves - aka: Automatic Seismic Gas Shut-off Valve

This valve (pictured on the right) may be one of the biggest advances in plumbing safety we have seen.  It senses seismic activity and will automatically close the gas line if it registers an Earthquake of 5.4 or greater.  This greatly reduces the risk of fire inside your home, making sure that a gutsy neighbor or pure luck isn't the only thing that saves your home while your away. More importantly, should you get trapped inside your home, valuable time is gained to escape or rescue family members.
